I was trying to say that European Governments were &lt;i&gt;limiting&lt;/i&gt; food choices under &lt;i&gt;the guise&lt;/i&gt; of &quot;public health&quot;.  Not that we don&#039;t do the same thing, but we are a little (lot) less... brazen?... at it.

When the American government does it, it is usually with a little more scientific evidence, shorter term, and usually on the heels of a &quot;voluntary&quot; recall by the companies.

We also don&#039;t fill our food manufacturing with quite as many &quot;ethics&quot;... you want &quot;free range&quot;... you &quot;free range&quot; a few more dollars at the checkout line (no, the pun doesn&#039;t work).</description>
